School teaches ideals; Society teaching "ideas"

One of the fundamental problems of our Educational system is that the little we are taught in class is not applicable outside the class ;in our school; and the society at large. We are being taught the ideal of everything theoretically within the class with practicals contrary to what we have learnt staring at us outside the class. Most of our students are not actually dullards as most of the results from our External Examinations portray. Majority are just confuse and need a bit of demonstration to really understand what the teacher has taught. They subconsciously look outside the class for back up knowledge only to find a "Constituted authority" blocking their view.

Forget the fact that our educational system has issues ,kudos to our teachers for illustrating the ideals in class just immediately after the class they act out reality the society has to offer. Teachers don't take bribe but is the case of "I know my sheep, my sheep know me". The scholars get  home to seek the parents' thought on his/her confusion hoping for clarity? While the parents subconsciously buttress the teacher's ideal theories with tales by moonlight from storylines. Unfortunately, the parents and teachers are more  of partners in crime teaching the ideals but doing something contrary. An attempt to follow to their footsteps one get punished for assuming the role of "Constituted Authority" at ones age!

As one get integrated into the society then you will be force to applaud the parents and teachers for being "humane" in their subjective way of life. You will have to "credit" their sincerity of 45%. The families and friends are aware of what the school teaches so don't bother to enlightened them they will remind you of your teacher's inadequacies and an attempt to insist on ideals. Then you will hear the  horrible tales of how your father copulated with your mother to have you. That is what happen when you question a constituted authority.

The society as a whole will see you as  Socrates whose admonition is "old school" in case you come up preaching the ideals you learnt in class. The actions and inactions of the society itself will question your knowledge and  that those who taught you? If you choose not to repent there are three things involve! It is either you suffer the similar fate of John the Baptist who was murdered for fun? Or suffered the fate synonymous to that of Jesus Christ who was murdered for real! You can be lucky to suffer the fate of John the Apostles who went through all torments still live to write the Revelation.

Which ever way please live with your ideals in your little ways because history will definitely tell who you are ;either you are there to speak for yourself or not!

School teaches Democracy; Society teaching "Crazy Demonstration"

Islamize Nigeria? Forget the story that touch tell Christian Leaders to stop chasing shadow!

Nigerians use the social media platforms differently, Facebook is where we do "amebo, aproko or gbeborun as it use to happen in "face me and face you house", so things that happen here is everybody's business and nobody's business" to say it in the language you people understand "open Gossip".
Twitter is where Nigerians "rake" for people most especially when it has to do with foreign affairs and foreigners. Go and ask Kenyans and recently a Ghanaian musicians that the headies people asked to come and eat jollof rice here only for him to start insulting our personality through one of the most cherished food of ours. While the Nigerians on twitters are playing the role of goo ambassadors defending the nation with all their data their counterpart on whasapps are something else.
The state of our unity either need to be strengthen or be broken down, it is saddening that right on whatsapps Nigerians spread the message of disunity and discord, messages that threaten our existences as a nation. This message alleged the plan of some people to Islamize Nigeria. The message is well written with facts and figures that you become convince that such plan exist? If you are not careful you will instantly become suspicious of your Muslim neighbors and see the need to be modern a "Crusader"!
The message buttressed that Christians in Northern Nigeria were going through severe persecution a situation which is so pathetic and requires urgent attention. The fact is that the persecution did not start today rather the Religious leaders in that part of the country have been managing their wound instead of  treating it,winning and dinning with politician while citizens become martyrs on their own land in the name of Religion. A critical look at the 19 states in Northern Nigeria you will noticed only a fraction have this problem of Religious crisis. Should we now generalize and go with assumption that there is really a plan to Islamize Nigeria base on this?
While you are still thinking about that ,the next allegation is that most strategic post in this country are been occupied by Muslims and Northerners? Examples are given you begin to wonder if this is true? Names are mentioned and you begin to draw conclusion? Wait a minute have you noticed that that most Christian hide their Christian's name behind a traditional name there by silence it as initials. Apart from that the  politicians of Islamic faith seems to be proud of their faith they associate with it at every opportunities. The most Politicians of christian faith seems not to be proud of their faith because their style do not depict Christ likes. Inspire of that they seems not to adopt the spirit of ecumenism in Christendom they are also driven by the dogma and doctrines of their various denominations. Our clergymen are not left out they seems to know how to anoint a Samuel and ditch a Saul on their own accord for the right tithe. So instead of being one in Christ; we seems to be divided in Christ.
One would have thought that our  Christians politicians division will persist in vices but they often come together to do evil looting our national treasuries with some of their Muslim partners too. To crown it all ,any brothers or sisters in Christ who choose to stand for Values of Christianity is seen as odd worn out will be denied something juicy ?As it occur to you that most technocrats of Nigeria origin that are gaining appointments outside the shores of this country are mostly Christians. So, why are these people not recognised at home?
There is no agenda to Islamize Nigeria but reality on ground shows that the Nigeria may one day become a Muslim country if Christians in this country do not stand up for the principles of Good governance and as well shun vices. Let Politicians  of Christian faith shun occultism and profess their faith , Let our clergymen speak the Gospel truth of Christ from the Altar and stop doing eye service. Above all let always pray for Nigeria because the nation is in distress.

Confusion! School say do not fight; Society say fight for your right!

"He who open a school; closes the prison's door" that was the quote from one of the notable Educationist. The problem of violence in our society is traceable to what the society itself teaches subconsciously. The problem of jungle justice, armed robbery, terrorism and street fights are what the society itself teaches our children without knowing it.

For most kids they grew up being taught violence subconsciously, When toddler of the same age have little disagreement over toys and one did become violent courtesy of what he/she has seen the adults do. The victim of such action took to crying or reporting to an older person, such a child is seen as a dunce for not retaliating and often time get punished for trying to be civil. The one who retaliated and caused more harm is crowned a "smart kid". Hence, the society sow a seed of violence in the mind of children in the name of protecting their rights. This action promote jungle justice, terrorism and street fight.

Hence, our security challenges of today were as a result of our negligence of yesterday on the values we ought to have teach our children. Violence against women still remain part of us, because children grow up to see nothing happen to men who beat their wives. The concept of jungle justice is an age long tradition that the society is guilty of, yet the notion was to discourage vices but we end up promoting disorderliness and inhumanity to man. The fact that we were taught to retaliate from childhood instead of the peaceful way of pursuing justice is a nod for violence as means of upholding ones right there by threatening our communal existence. We have taught our children the principle of "an eye for eye" that is why everyone is going blind courtesy of brutality.

Special thanks to our educational system which over the years has refined all those who passed through it. The school has really taught those who passed through it and allowed it to passed through them how to be civil. This is responsible for a bit of sanity that we have today in our society. No doubt there is need for the Government to ensure that our educational system need to teach more of values and inculcate in learners how to be civil.

The society need to complement the school in it non-violence approach to issues and discourage violence as a means to an end. There is need for us to change our orientation in view of our security challenges and so as not to leave our Children confused.
