Valentine's season is here again and love is in the air! Here comes the season where some persons take advantage of the other persons. They show love only during this season and once the season ends it becomes "Ordinary time". This is the time we all remember what the bible says about love in 1 Corinthians 13.
The colour of the season is white and red, while white point towards purity and holiness, the red points toward sacrifice and self giving (martyrdom). The symbol is heart sometimes pierced with arrow or sometime bandaged with red. Don't get carried away it is not just a design it is a message for you.
To love at all requires purity of heart from the two persons this involves their sincerity, tolerance and patience for each other. This will propel the sacrifice and self giving from the two persons. The pros and cons of consensual sexual intercourse illustrate the description of love but it is not limited to it infact love doesn't really depend on sex and sex too doesn't mean love, it is just an illustration on what love is, so don't allow yourself to be fooled that sex equate love.
Love is a relationship and it is expected to be mutual and even if is not mutual it is expected to be recognized and appreciated. Recognition and true appreciation always come with an attempt to reciprocate the good gesture with actions that please the person who initiates love. This is why we have to always try to please God all the days of our lives because to us God has shown love in its abundance.
Love is about values and about positive influence, despite the sacrifices and self giving it radiates happiness and peace of mind. Love is Godly and so it is not stupid nor blind.
Hence, if you are in a "situationship" that is "unGodly", one sided with element of vices, and it causes headache and high blood pressure to you, my brethren heed the voice from the angel "I say unto you flee from the devil".
In case you are still fasting and praying for such "situationship" to lead to marriage for whatever reason but God is not answering. I wonder what you want him to say after he has given you wisdom, knowledge and understanding to choose between life and death.
God's grace is ever suffient for us...
