The announcement of her death by NAF raised a lot of consciousness about her personality. Without much consideration for the event that led to her death the public agreeably assumed that she was murdered. The submission too was out of our hypocrisy as a people because how many of those with that submission bother to ask how and why they think so. One good thing about Nigerians is the ability to make noise about everything but do nothing about things that radiate values.
You would have taught that #InvestigateArotile'sdeath would have still be trending? So soon that the topic has changed and our new subject of discussion is #BBN lockdown with #Dorathy in focus.
Wait a minute you mean this is how this country will forget Tolupe Arotile the terrorist slayer at the expense of new slay queens from BBN lockdown? Where are those protesters supporting politicians on trials for corruption? Where are the pro feminism supporters club that often lead hastag whenever a female become a casualty? Has late Tolulope suddenly become a male that they feel it doesn't matter for them to lend a voice and call for investigation or call for her to be immortalized. The same people calling Dbanj names over rape allegation yet to be substantiated.
As youth of this country do we really care about ourselves? Yes she might have been fortunate to have become a helicopter pilot at 23 for NAF when some are still struggling with admission process and others looking for jobs, that does not rule out the fact that she is a young adult. How come National Youth Council of Nigeria - NYCN don't claim to have known her, when her and her contemporaries in the war front with terrorists are symbols of young patriotism. What of the state of her origin have they claimed her, demanded investigation too or plan to immortalize her? Is it because she is not a celebrity that will add flavor of entertainment to campaign ground? What of the various women groups that wanted the head of Senator Abbo on a plate for beating a woman in sex toy shop? They are on lock-down staying safe so they have no comment too.
It has suddenly become our culture to close eyes to what matters and dwell on things without substance. How do I explain to a little girl in the nearest future that there was once a girl called Tolupe Arotile with this high level of hypocrisy bedeviling our sense of judgement. As individual we need to withdraw from popular position and opinions and champion course that promotes values.

May her soul and the souls of those who have suffered Martyrdom for the unity of this country rest in peace. Amen
Angel
